The Tar River Youth Strings Program offers string lessons to local students.  Children as young as three and four start learning how to play the violin.  The children are taught with a modified Suzuki philosophy.  The students receive private lessons and then when advanced enough, they attend a weekly ensemble rehearsal.  The teachers for this program are Jane Yeager and Christopher Ellis.
