Message from the League
.

The Tar River Orchestra and Chorus League is a volunteer organization which promotes partnership with the Tar River Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, the Tar River Symphonic Band, and the Tar River Swing Band. For our young people's musical enrichment, appreciation and education, we promote youth concerts through participation in the Youth Strings, Children's Chorus, and Young Artist Competition.

The League supports these musicians and programs through a number of projects. Some of these are pre-season ticket sales, program advertisements, fund-raisers, providing ushers at concerts, and furnishing refreshments for the musicians during rehearsals.

The League is also very proud to present several scholarships each year to members of the Children's Chorus and Yough Strings.

We invite you to become a member of the TROC League. Becoming a volunteer will give you an excellent opportunity to make a major inpact on the cultural enrichment of our community. Together we can continue our promotion of quality musical entertainment for everyone.

For more information on the 2008-2009 season, please contact League President Linda Tippette (252-443-1896).

Join our Honor Roll of supporters!

Ticket income covers a small portion of our operating budget. We therefore rely on our Friends and Corporate Sponsors to ensure that we remain one of the leading presenters of quality entertainment in the area.

Invest in the future of music. Join the Friends of the Tar River Orchestra and Chorus and make us YOUR orchestra and chorus. All donations are tax deductible.
