Listen to the Swing Band play "I Love Beach Music"

The Tar River Swing Band is a working dance band.  They are under the direction of John C. Sykes, Jr., retired band director of Rocky Mount Senior High.  The band is comprised of 18 instrumentalists plus the Jazztones, a choral quartet, and a vocal soloist. The band does one or two concerts per year, plus numerous gigs in central and eastern North Carolina.  The band has several CDs available and one more in production.
